Strains and stresses
The page displays results in tabular form: strains and stresses in concrete and reinforcement, internal compression and tension forces with their position, internal strain state (ε₀, κz, κy), and convergence indicators. The governing load case is identified automatically. A graphical visualization of the section accompanies these results, with a color code distinguishing behavior domains (elastic, plastic, failure).
Why SectionPro
Accuracy
Exact integration of constitutive laws. Analytical solutions for curved geometries (arcs, ellipses, segments).
Performance
Optimized computation engine. Processing of several hundred thousand load cases in under one second. Finely meshed interaction surfaces.
Ergonomics
Automatic generation of standard reinforcement layouts. Import of geometries and load cases. Export of results in TXT, XLS, or PDF.

10 analysis types

Mechanical properties
Geometric properties of the uncracked section: area, perimeter, centroid, moments of inertia, extreme fibers. Gross, net, or transformed section.

Strains and stresses
Distribution of strains and stresses in concrete and reinforcement. Internal forces with position. Identification of the governing load case.

Reinforcement design
Minimum reinforcement area such that one or more materials reach their critical strain. Pivot A (critical reinforcement) or Pivot B (concrete at ultimate state).

3D interaction surface
N-My-Mz resistance boundary for a given limit state. Configurable mesh density. 3D viewer with rotation, zoom, and transparency.

Verification via interaction surface
Positioning of load cases in N-My-Mz space. Calculation of the distance to the boundary and status identification (admissible, limit, exceeded).

Interaction curve
2D cross-section of the interaction surface at a fixed component. Envelope mode available for quick verification across all load cases.

Design via interaction surface
Minimum reinforcement to place the critical load case on the interaction surface boundary (SF = 1).

Stiffness curves M-χ and N-ε₀
Pushover analysis up to failure. Identification of successive yielding events. EI-M and EA-N curves for equivalent stiffness.

Second-order effects
Simplified EC2 methodology. Moment amplification, critical load, and failure mode (instability or resistance).

Crack width
Calculation of the characteristic crack width wk and maximum crack spacing sr,max according to the Eurocode 2 methodology.
